MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's (6-8) will host two matches this weekend as they will take on West Coast Conference opponent, Pacific, on Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sacramento State on Sunday at noon.

ABOUT SAINT MARY'S
In their two WCC contests last weekend, Saint Mary's is 3-1 as the Gaels picked up a 4-2 win against Loyola Marymount, but dropped the second match 4-0 to Pepperdine. In the matchup against the Lions, SMC secured the doubles point after the Gaels claimed the victories on courts one and two. On singles courts,
Mariia Kozyreva,
Chloe Goyette, and
Liesl Pieters each defeated their opposition to collect the win for Saint Mary's.
Kozyreva continues to lead the Gaels' efforts as she owns a 8-3 overall record as the top singles seed. As a duo, Kozyreva and Abdelouahid are 5-1 in the No. 1 doubles spot as they have not lost a game in the last five contests.
ABOUT PACIFIC
The Tigers are 4-9 overall with a 1-3 conference record as they are coming off a 4-1 loss against Loyola Marymount and dropped a 5-0 decision to Pepperdine last weekend. After clinching a point in doubles action, Pacific led LMU in two singles matches before they ultimately went unfinished. Dohee Lee has led the team so far in the No. 2 singles spot as she holds a perfect 5-0 record and is 2-0 in the conference. The doubles duo Anna Ramos Vinolas and Karina Vyrlan own a 7-0 record as the No. 3 seed for the Tigers.
ABOUT SACRAMENTO STATE
The Hornets hold a 5-9 overall record and are 3-2 in the Big Sky Conference. Sacramento State's five-game winning streak was recently snapped by UC Davis as they dropped a 5-2 decision last weekend. The Hornets claimed two points in singles play as Jenna Dorian and Sofi Wicker each defeated their opposition in close matches. On doubles courts, Carolina Chernyetsky and Frana Ugarkovic led their opponents 5-4, but the match was called. Dorian and Jayden Nielson are each 5-0 in conference play while Dorian is also on a seven-game win streak.
