SAN JOSE, Calif. - The Saint Mary's Women's Tennis team continued their dominance against the Academy of Art at the Santa Clara-San Jose State Hidden Dual.

Though the tournament is set up like team head-to-head match ups, the results will only count for the individuals and not against the team record, thus the "Hidden Dual" name. Singles matches are two out of three full sets and doubles will be a six game set like a dual match. 

The Gaels matched up against the Academy of Art for their singles matches on day two after taking on the Urban Knights in doubles matches on day one. Again they won every match against the Academy of Art and their one singles match against Santa Clara University.

Jordan Harris defeated Yun Shiau 6-0, 6-1, Lene Mari Hovda beat Maria Casucci 6-2, 6-1, Jocelyn Massey topped Erica Hellbe 6-1, 6-0, Gabriela Tevez outlasted Julia Ortega 6-1, 2-6, 6-4, and Olivia Rook defeated Paulina Alvarez 6-1, 6-0. Stefanie Silva rounded out the singles groupings by playing Santa Clara University's Lindsey Pesqueira and winning 6-1, 3-6, 6-3.

The doubles bracket didn't go as well for the Gaels on day two, ending up on the wrong side of sweep against players from Santa Clara. Guila Hayer and Katherine Petty defeated Julia Ronney and Harris 6-3, JennaMarie Gordon and Finley Kalinic topped Silva and Massey 6-3, and the tandem of Jamie Schroer and Velizara Fileva beat Hovda and Tevez 7-5.

The Gaels return to the San Jose section of matches on Sunday. They'll match up with players from Nevada at 9:00 a.m. and at 12:00 p.m. take on players from the USF Dons.
