Hathcoat Named Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's golfer Blake Hathcoat has been named the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week for his terrific performance at The Goodwin over the weekend.
Hathcoat and the Gaels competed at the Stanford-hosted tournament from Thursday to Saturday last week and the senior finished tied for first out of 146 competitors. Hathcoat bested 10 ranked players to grab co-medalist honors in addition to countless other golfers from top-ranked schools.
Saint Mary's finished fifth at the event out of 28 teams and head coach Scott Hardy said afterwards that, "Blake's win is likely the best individual finish in SMC history". It was the third straight top-10 finish for Hathcoat and the third time he's been named Bay Alarm SAOTW this season.
The Gaels are back on the course today for the first two rounds of the Redhawk Invitational. Fans can follow the action live by clicking here.
