WTEN | SMC Falls To Gonzaga in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. — Saint Mary's (5-8, 3-4 WCC) couldn't overcome a tough Gonzaga (12-7, 4-2 WCC) squad on Friday as they fell at Stevens Center, 4-0. 

GU jumped out ahead 1-0 after claiming two doubles wins. The Bulldogs took sets on Courts 1 and 2 by scores of 6-2 and 6-3, respectively. 

Gonzaga completed the sweep with straight set wins from their No. 4, 6, and 3 players. Mariia Kozyreva and Lene Mari Hovda each won the first set in their respective matches but couldn't finish before GU claimed their fourth point. 

Saint Mary's will play their final match of the regular season tomorrow in Portland. First serve is scheduled for noon. Fans can watch live by visiting the link on the team's schedule page.
