LAST TIME OUT
The Gaels snapped a six-game losing streak on Saturday afternoon as they swept the Santa Clara Broncos at their place, taking down a team that was above them in the standings. The Gaels had one of their best team performances of the entire season, especially in conference play, with a .303 hitting percentage and eight aces from the service line. Only one Gaels attacker was below .250 on the afternoon, and nobody had more than two attack errors. Two Gaels had 14+ digs in the win, and six different Saint Mary's players chipped in on the block.

VIEVER FEVER
A lot of recent performances forÂ
Genevieve Bane have gone in a similar way. About four or five kills, a handful of digs, and she hasn't been quite as effective from the service line. That turned around in a big way on Saturday, pacing the Gaels with 12 kills. She paired that with just one error for a tidy hitting percentage of .324, one of her most efficient performances of the year. She also added seven digs and three service aces to tie for the team lead in that department. Getting a secondary outside option going aside from Harrer could be a big boost for the Gaels down the stretch.

ABOUT PACIFIC
The season has been quite rocky for the Tigers, especially since the Gaels and Tigers met in Stockton in September. In that match, Saint Mary's was out-played in every facet except the battle at the net (six blocks for SMC vs. two for Pacific), while Biamba Kabengele stole the show with a 17-kill, 11-dig performance. Pacific dropped three-straight after that win against the Gaels, but then found a way to beat then-#12 BYU in five sets during their homecoming weekend. Their most recent match, however, was a five-set loss at home against San Francisco on Saturday.
