Career Week for Harrer Earns her Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week Award

MORAGA, Calif. — After recording one of the best weeks of her collegiate career, Hawley Harrer is picking up some hardware. For the second time this season, Harrer has been named the Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of the Week at Saint Mary's.
Harrer had the best week of her career as the Gaels won both of their WCC matches. She recorded a total of 41 kills across two matches, including a career-best 26 kills in a five-set win over Gonzaga on Thursday night. Her 26 kills in five sets is tied for the tenth-most in SMC history (rally scoring era). She had just three attack errors on the week for a .463 hitting percentage, proving to be both dangerous and effective.
She also has the chance to win a weekly award from the conference, as the WCC is moving back it's Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards to later in the week due to all teams ending their seasons on Tuesday evening.
The 2022 season wraps up on Tuesday evening as the Gaels host Santa Clara in the season finale. The Gaels and Broncos played in Santa Clara in October and the Gaels were winners in three sets. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 pm inside University Credit Union Pavilion.
