VB | Harrer Caps off Season with WCC Offensive Player of the Week Award

SAN MATEO, Calif. — After wrapping up her Saint Mary's career with a pair of WCC wins and her Senior Day, Saint Mary's opposite Hawley Harrer has been named the final recipient of the WCC's Offensive Player of the Week award. This marks her first weekly award win from the conference in her SMC career.
Harrer had the best week of her career as the Gaels won two of their WCC matches. She recorded a total of 53 kills across three matches, including a career-best 26 kills in a five-set win over Gonzaga on Thursday night. Her 26 kills in five sets is tied for the tenth-most in SMC history (rally scoring era). She had just seven attack errors on the week for a .404 hitting percentage, proving to be both dangerous and effective.
Harrer joins Kristen Erland as Gaels to win weekly awards from the WCC this season, with Erland winning Defensive Player of the Week honors on September 12. This marks the first time in program history that the Gaels have won two weekly awards from the conference in the same season.
