MORAGA, Calif. — Canyon Club Brewery and Saint Mary's Athletics announced on Tuesday an expansive partnership that includes the collaboration and launch of the Gael Ale. The Gael Ale is an English-style golden ale made with English malts and hops. It is a refreshing hop-forward pale with a clean finish.
 
One of the leads of the partnership between Saint Mary's and Canyon club is Kevin Hamilton, the President and Founder of Canyon Club, and he speaks highly of what the Saint Mary's community has done for Canyon Club, and is thrilled for this new product.
 
"Canyon Club is so excited to partner with Saint Mary's and introduce Gael Ale to the local fans," said Hamilton. "The students and faculty have supported us from the day we opened and we've always been fans, alumni and supporters of the college. It just feels like a natural partnership for us."
 
Gael Ale will officially launch exclusively via draft at the Men's Basketball game on Thursday, November 10 against Vermont at 7:00 pm. The cans will be available for purchase beginning on November 30, when Saint Mary's Men's Basketball hosts New Mexico at 7:00 pm. This is an exclusive creation, with Gael Ale only being sold at Saint Mary's sporting events and Canyon Club Brewery, in both can and draft form.  
"This is a true partnership in the sense that it connects two social fabrics of the Moraga Community," Ryan O'Rorke, General Manager of Saint Mary's Sports Properties, mentioned about the collaboration. "We are grateful for Kevin and the entire Canyon Club team for bringing this partnership to life through such an exciting collaboration." 
 
Partnership between Saint Mary's and Canyon Club will also consist of a designated Canyon Club kiosk and mini-Biergarten in the outdoor fan plaza of University Credit Union Pavilion. There is also a "Canyon Club Express" concession stand inside the Pavilion, where canned Canyon Club beer will be sold. Canyon Club beer will also be featured across all other Saint Mary's Athletic events where concessions are offered as well as the on-campus pub.
