Saint Mary's Women's Tennis competed in Southern California against both USD and Long Beach State.

In San Diego SMC got the doubles point for a 1-0 lead as the No. 44 doubles combo in the nation of
Jordan Harris and
Mariia Kozyreva topped Claudia De Las Heras and Elizabeth Goldsmith 6-3 and
Jocelyn Massey and
Julia Ronney defeated Solymar Colling and Jordyn McBride 6-3.

But the Toreros would take the singles matches, with Massey battling De Las Heras to three sets. Saint Mary's Women's Tennis couldn't slow down the 8-3 San Diego Toreros on Saturday as the Gaels lost 6-1 at the Hogan Center.

SMC Women's Tennis responded well to the quick turnaround from San Diego with their own 6-1 victory over Long Beach State on Sunday afternoon.

The Gaels swept the singles competition with only one match going to three sets.
Julia Ronneybeat Claire Le Du 6-0, 6-2 to start the singles group for Saint Mary's followed by
Gabriela Tevez'win over Zuzanna Szczepanska 6-0, 6-1.

Lene Mari Hovda defeated Peppi Ramstedt 6-1, 6-3 and
Jocelyn Massey (SMC) def. Arina Babkova (LBSU) 6-2, 6-3 as both Gaels have won their last four matches.

Mariia Kozyreva also won her fourth-straight match and is 6-1 in dual match play after she topped Nikola Homolkva 6-2, 7-6 while
Jordan Harris defeated Sheena Masuda 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.

ABOUT SAN JOSE STATE
For the second time this season, Saint Mary's will compete in a matchup against the San Jose State Spartans. With half the team with a winning record in singles, the Spartans currently hold a 61-42 overall record in singles. As for doubles, they hold a record of 24-25. San Jose State's successes include a 6-1 overall win against Sacramento State and 4-3 overall wins against Northern Arizona and CSU Fullerton, where Senior, Alba Pedrero Galindo, took her singles match to a third-set tiebreaker to defeat the Titans.
