PROVO, Utah – After two lightning delays, rain throughout the day, and even some hail, the first round of the 57th Annual Cougar Classic is in the books. The plan was to get rounds one and two in on day one, but the remainder of round two will have to be worked in before round three on Saturday.
Dylan VanderVeer and Kristian Bressum each finished round one at 1-under par after shooting a 71 on the par-72 course at Riverside Country Club.
Bressum is 2-under on par fours and VanderVeer leads the Gaels in par threes made. The two of them along with Michael Slesinski have made six birdies.
