HENDERSON, Nev. – Freshman Connor Reis and Kristian Bressum each finished even on day one at the WCC Championships on the par 72 Reflection Bay Golf Club.
Reis was even on par threes, 2-under on par fives, and made 15 pars in total which was first among all 45 golfers. Bressum and Dylan VanderVeer led Saint Mary's in birdies with four each.
The Gaels found themselves in eighth of nine teams after round one at 8-over par. The course was tough overall as the highest team score on the day was even at par and the best individual score was 3-under.

Dylan VanderVeer – 7:00 a.m.
Mitchell Hoey – 7:10 a.m.
Michael Slesinski – 7:20 a.m.
Kristian Bressum – 7:30 a.m.
