MORAGA, Calif. – Saint Mary's Golf has released their 2022-23 schedule as they are set to tee of the season on September 12 in San Francisco.
 
It will be their first time participating in the USF Olympic Invitational since 2016. From there they will play in the Husky Invitational, where they opened the 2019 and 2021 seasons, and former Gael Michael Slesinski finished second overall among 80 golfers.
 
The Gaels return to the Nick Watney Invitational on September 26-27. Saint Mary's last played in Fresno in February of 2021, finishing third overall as a team, and were in first going into the third round. Pavan Sagoo has the all-time low round scores at the Watney with a 64 in round two and a 65 in round three in 2015.
 
From there they will head to Reno, Nev. For the Wolfpack Classic, where Slesinski finished eighth overall last year, and had the program's lowest score in a round at the tournament on day two.
 
The Saint Mary's Invitational will again be played in early November in this season. The Geals will host their annual tournament from October 31 to November 2 for their final competition of 2022. SMC finished sixth as a team at Poppy Hills last year, while Mitchell Hoey came in second among the entire field.
 
The schedule continues on a familiar pattern to start the second semester, going to Tucson, Ariz. for the Arizona Intercollegiate January 30-31 and the John Burns Intercollegiate hosted by Hawaii from February 16-18.
 
From March 6-7 Saint Mary's returns to the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic, co-hosted by WCC member University of San Diego and San Diego State, for the first time since spring of 2021.
 
This season's finish to the schedule is very similar to last season's, as the Gaels go to The Goodwin hosted by Stanford from March 30 to April 1. The one change will be going to the Wyoming Cowboy Classic hosted by Wyoming from April 3-4 rather than a trip to Penn State.
 
But SMC will head east to the Lewis Chitengwa Invitational hosted by Virginia April 10-11, and play the Ping Cougar Classic hosted by BYU April 21-22 as they did last season.
 
The WCC Championships will close out the 2022-23 campaign, April 27-29 at Reflection Bay Golf Course in Henderson, Nev.
