MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's Softball is in the final stages of completing the roster for the 2023 season, and they are adding a familiar transfer next year's roster. On Monday, the team announced the addition of Taylor Keinath to the roster, after playing the past four seasons with the Loyola Marymount Lions.
 
Keinath is a fairly local product, born and raised in Elk Grove in the Sacramento area. She graduated from Franklin High School and earned all-conference honors during three seasons, while breaking the school record for most innings pitched.
 
She made her mark at Loyola Marymount over the last four seasons with her bat, where she played in 84 games and made 51 starts as a Lion, primarily in the outfield. She owns a .255 batting average across those four seasons, with a .342 on-base percentage, and has accumulated 42 hits. She's also a strong student-athlete, taking home honorable mention honors from the WCC on their All-Academic team in 2021 and 2022.
 
"We are so excited to add Taylor to our lineup," said head coach Sonja Garnett. "She comes from a championship program and will have an immediate impact as a student-athlete and a leader."
