MORAGA, Calif. – A very efficient and productive week for
Taycee Wedin has earned her this week's Bay Alarm Student-Athlete of Week Award.

Wedin scored 15 points against LMU on Thursday and 16 points in the win over Pepperdine on Saturday. She went 7 of 15 from three-point range over the two games and was 11 of 22 from the field overall.

The seven three pointers this week brought her WCC-career-record total to 361 made threes, and upped her career percentage to 41.4%. The Milwaukie, Ore. native pulled down two rebounds and was a perfect two-for-two at the free throw line, hitting a pair of technical fouls late in Thursday's game.

The fifth-year Gael capped off SMC's 10-0 run to start the second half with back-to-back threes to put Saint Mary's up 38-25 early in the third quarter.

The Gaels will be on the road this week but won't have to travel far, as they'll play at Santa Clara at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and at San Francisco at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
