PROVO, Utah – Saint Mary's Men's Tennis struck first in the doubles competition at BYU on Saturday, but the Cougars pulled away to seal the win.
Â
In the final meeting of the teams as WCC foes, the Gaels got the first decision of the doubles matches when
Mathis Moysan and
Carlos Ramos Membrives defeated Wally Thayne and Redd Owen 6-2, before BYU won the other two matches to take the doubles point.
Â
The Cougars would get wins in the next three matches to finish, and unlike at Weber State, once the dual match was decided the team elected to not finish the ones still in progress.
Â
UP NEXT:
The Gaels will play at UC Irvine on Friday, February 24 at 12:00 p.m.
