Box Score FRESNO, Calif. - The Women's Tennis team conquered a 7-0 win against Fresno Pacific Saturday afternoon by being undefeated in every match.
Olivia Rook and
Madison Weekley started off the Gaels strong by defeating their opponents Elise Leik and Audrey Ouellet 6-0. The match was followed by another SMC win by
Stefanie Silva and
Sofia Daryaie 6-1. The last duo
Tian Yu Dong and
Juliette Daries did not finish their match since the Gaels clinched the first point.
The Gaels continued to dominate through the match in the singles where Rook was taken out after doubles and Daryaie took her spot. Daryaie played strongly, defeating Sunbirds Halle Faherty 6-1, 6-3. Weekley stepped in at six, where she was able to defeat her opponent Margarita Munoz 6-3, 6-2. The Gaels secured the overall win with Dong's 7(2)-6, 6-4 against Fresno Pacific's Yume Ueoku.
The teams continued to play where
Iman Khan defeated FPU Nayuma Subba 7-5, 6-3. Silva's match was one of two to have gone to three sets. Silva won 6-3, 7-5, 10-1, which was then followed by Daries three set win 6(4)-7, 6-2, 10-7.
