

GOLF | Bressum Finishes as Leader for Gaels in Hawaii

LIHU'E, KAUA'I, Hawaii - On the concluding day of the John A. Burns Intercollegiate at the picturesque Ocean Course at Hōkūala in Kaua'i, the Saint Mary's golf team worked to climb their way up the leaderboard. Kristian Bressum's consistent play throughout the tournament earned him a T32 finish, leading the Gaels individually.
Freshman standout Jack Jerge led the Gaels in the final round with an impressive performance, finishing the day at -3, with Zack Missigman at even par, Connor Reis at +2, and Kristian Bressum at +3, as the Gaels displayed resilience in the final round on the Ocean Course.
In the team standings, Saint Mary's secured a 14th place finish out of 20 teams with a cumulative score of +16. The team competition was fiercely contested, but it was Arizona that emerged victorious with a team score of -20. Individually, Bastien Amat of the University of New Mexico claimed the top spot with a total score of -13.
