Box Score EUGENE, Oreg. - The Women's Tennis team had a tough battle against the University of Oregon, losing 2-5. 
 
The Ducks and the Gaels split the first 2 sets of the double, leaving the winning point to the No.1 doubles. The deciding point was between SMC duo Tian Yu Dong and Juliette Daries against Oregon Nina Geissler and Sophia Luescher. The Gaels barely lost in the deciding match 6-7 (4-7). 
 
The University of Oregon secured the win over the Gaels in the first three singles matches, but that did not stop the Gaels from competing. Dong was the first singles match to end where Geissler took the second points for the Ducks with a 6-1, 6-2 score. Iman Khan lost 6-1, 6-2 to Luesher and Olivia Rook lost 6-3, 6-3, to Oregon's Uxia Martinez, giving the Ducks the win. 
 
Stefanie Silvia had a tough battle between Jo-Yee Chan, falling short to the Ducks 6-4, 6-4. Sofia Daryaie came out stronger than her opponent, Karin Young, winning 6-4, 3-6, 10-8. Daries came out on top in her match against Symms winning 6-2, 5-7, 10-4.
