This year's Highlanders have a fairly young team with only two seniors on the team. In their three wins this season, Sophomore Maya Youssef has won a set in each of the matches. She won in her singles match against CSUN, in her doubles match 6-2 against Hope International, and won 6-1, 6-3 in her single match against Weber State.
ABOUT LONG BEACH STATE
At the end of their last season, Long Beach State had five separate players honored as the Big West Conference announced the postseason All-Big West honors, with one Peppi Ramsedt, earning All-Big West Second Team leading the team in 2023-2024 season with an overall 23-8 doubles record and earning Honorable Mention for her single matches.
Ramsedt continues to dominate for Long Beach State this season by winning the Beach Tennis Winter Invite earlier this season. That same week she was named Big West Tennis Player of the Week for the first time in her career. Ramsedt has helped Long Beach State with their current two game win streak defeating East Carolina 4-3 and UC Davis 5-2, looking to push their win streak to three as they take on Havard at home this Thursday.
