GOLF | Gaels Pull Away in Round Three to Secure 2024 El Macero Classic Title

DAVIS, Calif. — In their final event before the WCC Tournament, Saint Mary's Golf picked up a signature win at the El Macero Classic, matching their terrific day two score with another (-2) in round three to secure the event title by seven strokes.
Jack Jerge made it back to back 68s on the course. Today, the freshman was even through his first eight holes, but birdied the ninth to set the tone for an epic, three under par back nine. Jerge's three round score of (-3) was good enough for third place.
Behind Jerge was Kristian Bressum, who put together a bogeyless round at (-3). Kristian also finished in the top-10 at eighth, shooting (+3) over the 54 holes, as another driving force behind the Gaels team victory.
The Gaels finished the tournament seven strokes ahead of second place Grand Canyon and San Diego. Jerge finished four strokes behind individual tournament champ Enrique Dimayuga of Nevasa.
The Gaels will next be in action at the WCC Tournament, set for April 25 - 28 at Gold Mountain Golf Club Olympic Course in Bremerton, Washington.
