Johnson Wins Second Shamrock Student-Athlete of the Week Award , Recorded 6th Game with 15+ Points this Season

MORAGA, Calif. - Kennedy Johnson led Saint Mary's to their second straight win in conference play with a 56-41 home victory over Pepperdine last week. She recorded a game high 15 points and tied her career high with four steals to earn her second Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week award this season.
Johnson scored in all three levels in the Gaels 15-point win over the Waves as she was also 3-5 from beyond the arc, the second time she's hit three threes in a game this season. She also added four rebounds and two assists as the Gaels improved to 6-2 in WCC play matching their best conference start since 2015. Johnson continues to put together a stellar senior campaign after transferring from Idaho in the fall, leading the team with over 13 points and five boards per game. The Gaels are 5-1 when Johnson scores 15 or more points this season.
Saint Mary's returns to WCC action this week as they take on San Diego on the road Thursday evening and then return to Moraga to host Santa Clara on Saturday, looking for the regular season sweep in both matchups. Stream both games live on ESPN+ and get your tickets online at smcgales.com.
