Pearson’s 35 Dig Week Earns Her Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's Volleyball is on a heater. Winners of nine of their last 12, the Gaels defense has been the driving force to this season's turnaround, and the driving force for that defense has been libero Alayna Pearson. Most recently, Pearson averaged five digs per set over a pair of wins against Pacific and Washington State, earning her Shamrock Office Solutions Student-Athlete of the Week honors.
Pearson helped lead the Gaels to a 2-0 weekend, averaging 5.00 digs per set. She also added five aces to lead the team. The Gaels have not let a team hit over 0.200 in the month of November, and Pearson is a huge reason why.
