3/9/2025 3:00:00 PM | Men's Golf
MORAGA, Calif. - The Saint Mary's men's golf team will return to the course for their first event since February 15th. They last competed in the John Burns Intercollegiate and placed 14th in one of the most competitive fields of the 2024-25 season. Head coach Scott Hardy will go with another familiar starting lineup featuring Missigman, Reis, Bruchhauser, Lazarski and Lee.
The three-round event will kick off on Monday, March 10th with two two rounds before the final eighteen holes on Tuesday. The Gaels currently rank 80th in the country according to Scoreboard rankings powered by Clippd.
"We are looking forward to getting back to tournament play in San Diego this week," said Gaels head coach Scott Hardy. "San Diego Country Club is always a great test for college golf and the course has a strong tournament history. Another tough field will give us an opportunity to test our game against quality programs. We have been preparing well and expect to have a good result this week" (Hardy).

The Ocean Course at Hokuala was in superb condition but heavy winds off the ocean made for some tough conditions throughout the course. The Gaels put together their best round of the week on the final day, finishing 5-over-par.
Go Nakatsukasa, Zack Missigman and Connor Reis all recorded 71's (+1) to push Saint Mary's up a spot and finish the tournament in 14th place. Nakatsukasa was the team's low finisher for the week, finishing t-38th at +3. He also recorded one of the team's two rounds in red figures, shooting a 68 (-2) in Friday's second round. Connor Reis had the other round under par, also shooting 2-under in the opening round on Thursday.
After a hot start to the fall season, the Gaels will look for their first top-five finish since the Leadership and Golf Collegiate Championship in which they hosted back in October. Live scoring and additional tournament information can be found at smcgaels.com.
