MORAGA, Calif. — The 2025 Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball season has come to an end, but the Gaels coaching staff is already hard at work at shaping the 2026 squad, with the addition of true freshman Bella Reyes. Reyes joins fellow true freshman Ellasyn Scuba as the first two to sign with the Gaels for 2026. 

Hailing from Scottsdale, Arizona, Reyes prepped at Saguaro High School, where she played for the Sabercats' beach volleyball team since its inception in her freshman year. In that year, she was named the offensive player of the year for Arizona DII Section IV. Two years later, she was named the district MVP as a junior, an award she would repeat as winning this past season as a senior. She also competed in club beach volleyball for RPM Sand, where she was named the 2025 BVCA two time top defensive player, and the 2025 MVP. A standout in the classroom as well, Bella holds an extremely impressive 4.3 high school GPA.

She is a versatile defender with a well rounded offensive game.  We can't wait to see the impact she'll make both on and off the sand!"  

Bella will join a Gael squad that won 20 games for just the second time in program history in 2025. Two of the Gaels from this year's team also hailed from the state of Arizona, Sedona Sherman (Litchfield Park) and Angelina Bour (Chandler), proving that the Phoenix area is a hotbed for beach volleyball talent.
