MORAGA, Calif. — We are less than one month out from the start of the 2026 campaign for Saint Mary's Beach Volleyball, as the Gaels have officially finalized their roster with the additions of transfer Annah Legaspi and freshman Brooklyn Hoge. The Gaels will enter the year with a strong balance of returning talent and fresh faces, with nine back from last year's squad and eight newcomers for fans to get to know.
Annah Legaspi spent her freshman year playing for the Corsairs of Santa Monica College, where she paired with Nicole Lankton (Long Beach State) as the team's #1 grouping. Together Legaspi and Lankton won the 2025 3C2A Pairs Championship, proving to be the number one JUCO pairing in the state. Annah also played indoor for Santa Monica, starting at libero for them over the past two seasons, tallying 938 digs, and helping them to a Western State Conference title this past Fall. Legaspi graduated from West Torrance High School in 2024 before starting her collegiate career at Santa Monica College.
Brooklyn Hoge is a local product out of Monte Vista High School in nearby Danville. Hoge, in fact, graduated early from Monte Vista after playing indoor this Fall, helping her team to an East Bay Athletic League title and a trip to the CIF DI State Tournament. On the sand, Hoge competed in numerous tournaments with Golden Gate Volleyball, including a fifth place finish at the 2025 AVP U17 National Championship in Hermosa Beach.
Brooklyn, Annah and the rest of the Gaels will get set to open the season on February 20 in Houston for the Third Coast Classic.
