ROW | Scarpine and Ferbet Earn First Team All-Conference Honors

SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Saint Mary's Rowing season came to an end at the Conference Championship this past weekend, but the celebration continues, as seniors Hathaway Scarpine and Katie Ferbet were both named first team members of the All-WCC team. The Gaels have had at least two honorees on every all-conference team now dating back to 2013.
Ferbet rowed in the seven spot all season, while Scarpine rowed stroke on the Gaels first varsity eight boat. The veteran duo helped lead the Gaels to six wins in nine races this season, and also helped the Gaels to their best finish of any of their boats at the WCC Championship. This is Scarpine's third time being named to the WCC All-Conference team, while it is Ferbet's first time earning this honor.
The Gaels finished sixth out of the new look nine team WCC this past weekend at the WCC Championships, qualifying all four of their boats to compete in the grand final races.
