STOCKTON, Calif. - The Saint Mary's men's golf team broke into red figures in Tuesday's second round of the 2026 Visit Stockton Invitational, posting a one-under second round to move into seventh place at one-over-par. The Gaels were one of just five teams out of the 18-team field to record a round in red figures on Tuesday. After an opening 76 (+4), third-year Gael Sam Baumuller looked more like himself on Tuesday with a second round 71 (-1) to lead the team. He found himself as low as four-under with four birdies over his opening ten holes to help move the Gaels up the leaderboard.
Another bounce back round from Monday included three rounds of even par from Trey Tuyo, Will Hardy and Inigo Izuzquiza to round out the four counting scores for Saint Mary's. Hardy was the drop score on Monday but led Saint Mary's with five birdies in Tuesday's second round. Tuyo followed up his opening round of 71 (-1) with a 72 even par to remain one-under for the tournament. He sits tied for ninth individually as the team's top golfer through 36 holes while Izuzquiza cracked the top 30 with an even par round of his own.
Saint Mary's leads the tournament field in par-four scoring and will look to make a push for another top-five finish in Wednesday's third and final round, sitting just four strokes out of third place. Tournament host Pacific leads the field at nine-under-par with Utah Valley and San Francisco in a tie for second at four-under.
Full round two scores and leaderboards can be found HERE.

The Gaels' starting lineup will tee off on the first hole starting at 7:39 a.m. to kick off the third and final round. The rest of the tournament pairings and final round results can be found HERE.
