SB | Gaels Receive Votes in Week 11 ESPN.com/USA Softball Collegiate Top-25 Poll

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — The Saint Mary's softball team is on a roll! Winners of 19 of their last 21 games, the Gaels have now smashed the program record for wins in a single season, sitting at an incredible 33-12. They are off to their best start in conference play since the West Coast Conference began sponsoring softball in 2014 at 8-1, and are 3.5 games in front of second place Santa Clara for the conference lead. The Gaels can add another impressive achievement to their resume, as they now are receiving votes in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Top-25.
The Gaels have quite a few foes ranked in the ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25. Texas A&M, who played host to Saint Mary's in the fourth week of the season, checked into the top-10 for the first time since the opening week of the season at No. 10. The Gaels defeated Stanford three weeks ago, dropping them to No. 23 at the time, but the Cardinal have rebounded, and now sit at 18th. The Gaels have seen the Washington Huskies three times, going 2-1 against them. The Huskies now sit at No. 22, while South Carolina, who the Gaels saw at the Mary Nutter, are ranked 24th.
The Gaels will look to continue to climb closer to the Top 25, hitting the road to USD for a three game set this weekend.
