SB | Odhi Vasquez Ranked 25th Best Pitcher in the Country for Month of April by Softball America

MERCER ISLAND, Wash. — Softball America has just announced its top-25 pitchers for the month of April, and checking in at number 25 is Saint Mary's own Odhi Vasquez. Vasquez has helped lead the Gaels to an incredible 12-2 record for the month, tossing in 10 of those 14 contests.
The numbers for Vasquez in the month are stellar. The senior out of Upland started five contests, and made five additional appearances out of the bullpen, going 6-1 with a pair of saves. Vasquez struck out 45 over 40.2 innings works, while walking just 13, and allowing batters to hit just 0.190 against her. For the month, Vasquez put up a 1.38 ERA, helped by the fact that two of her starts were of the complete game shutout variety.
Overall, Vasquez owns half of the Gaels program-record 36 victories this season. Saint Mary's sits at 11-1 in West Coast Conference play this year, and hopes to close in on their third straight WCC title in the next two weeks.
