AS A FRESHMAN (2025-26): Recorded a 9-9 singles record and a 10-10 doubles record as a true freshman for the Gaels... Led the team with nine singles victories, operating primarily out of the fourth position for the Gaels... Made his collegiate debut against No. 4 Stanford where he went unfinished in his singles match out of the fifth position, 4-6 5-1 (1/13)... Secured his first collegiate singles victory in a straight sets, 6-4 6-0, win over Jessup (1/17)... Had a string of three consecutives singles victories, securing wins over Portland State (2/7), Sacramento State (2/8) and Fresno Pacific (2/13)... Secured singles victories in back-to-back WCC matches over Pacific and Gonzaga to help Saint Mary's earn the sixth seed in the WCC Tournament... Older brother Paulo Hugo Etchecoin competed in 15 doubles matches together and held a record of 7-8, second best doubles record on the team... Recorded first collegiate doubles victory with brother against Jessup, winning 6-1 (1/17)... Won 6-2 out of the second doubles position against both Pacific and Gonzaga, helping the Gaels clinch the final spot in the WCC Tournament... Competed against No. 35 Santa Clara in the quarterfinals of the WCC Tournament, falling 6-7 (5-7) 2-6 out of the fourth position (4/23).
