AS A SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Played in five games for the Gaels before being sidelined for the remainder of the season with a back injury...saw 45 minutes of game action for nine minutes per game...went 2-6 from the field and grabbed eight rebounds, while adding three assists, one steal, and two blocks...saw 15 minutes of action in the Gaels first win of the season at UC Irvine on December 16, where she tied a season-best with three rebounds and scored three points.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019-20): Appeared in 20 games off the bench during her first season as a Gael…scored 34 points on 12 of 28 from the floor (42.9%)…averaged 6.5 minutes per game and grabbed 23 total rebounds…shot 66.7 % from the free throw line…made her collegiate debut at the UCF Holiday Tournament in December, and scored four points against Central Florida in her first game…scored a career-best 10 points in 25 minutes in a home contest against Portland on February 6.
PRIOR TO SAINT MARY'S: Grizelj is a Bay Area native (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and joins the team as a freshman after graduating from St. Francis High School in 2019. She averaged 8.0 points per game as a junior, 6.0 rebounds, and was also an all-league honorable mention. Grizelj was recruited by San Diego, Cornell, Portland State, and Southern Utah, but chose Saint Mary's as it was the best basketball and academic fit while also remaining close to her family.
