Moraga, CA -- Aubrey Eubanks (Placerville, CA) was selected to the 1999 West Coast Conference All-Academic Team for volleyball. The selection is the first time the senior setter was selected to the team. Eubanks carries a 3.90 grade point average in Biology. In 38 games as the back-up setter, Eubanks recorded 106 assists and 23 kills, and her .538 hitting percentage was the best on the team.
The WCC All-Academic Teams honor student-athletes who have attained the highest level of accomplishment both athletically and academically. To be eligible for nomination, each individual must maintain a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average while being a significant contributor to the field or court.
"I continue to be amazed and impressed by the number of individuals who attain such high standards in the classroom and on the playing field," said WCC Commissioner Michael Gilleran. "Each year the task of limiting this team to just a few student-athletes gets more difficult. While we've selected these individuals, there are many others who also achieved similar levels of excellence."
