Five Gaels Named to Spring WCC All-Academic Teams

Moraga, CA (May 25) - Five Saint Mary's College student-athletes were named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Teams in their respective sports. The WCC honors student-athletes that have attained the highest level of accomplishment both athletically and academically.
Senior pitcher Jason Morgan-Voyce (Sacramento, CA) makes his second appearance on the WCC All-Academic Baseball Team after he earned the honor as a junior. Morgan-Voyce has a 3.337 grade point average in Economics and was 4-7 overall with a 6.35 earned run average in 2000. Fellow teammate sophomore outfielder Tony Graziani (Visalia, CA) makes his first appearance. Graziani carries a 3.407 GPA in Biology and was fourth on the team with a .318 batting average. He played in 40 games with 25 starts, had eight doubles, one triple and 16 RBI.
Junior Karen Holland (Auburn, CA), a member of the Saint Mary's women's tennis team, carries a 3.74 GPA majoring in Engineering. Holland posted a 10-12 singles record and was 10-6 as the number two player for the Gaels. She was 8-12 in doubles play with her best record, 6-5, as part of the number two doubles team with Catalina Fillol.
Saint Mary's placed two members on the WCC All-Academic Rowing Team in Charline Casarino (Sacramento, CA) and Jenique Spencer (San Diego, CA). Casarino carried a 3.52 GPA in Anthropology and was a coxswain for the women's rowing team. Spencer carried a 3.37 GPA in Business and was a member of the WCC All-Conference Team.
