Stockton, CA - The Saint Mary's women's tennis team defeated Pacific 4-2 on Saturday at the West Lane Tennis Courts in Stockton, CA. With the victory Saint Mary's improves its record to 9-6 on the season while Pacific fell to 5-6 overall.

Saint Mary's won four of the six singles matches and doubles was not played. The match was moved from the outdoor courts to the indoor courts due to rain. After Annie Wolford lost to #53 ranked Susanne Bertel, 6-1, 6-0, Saint Mary's went on to win four the next five matches for the win.

The Gaels' Lindsay Herndon-Ortega dropped for first eight points in her match at number-six before rallying for a 0-6, 6-3, 6-1 victory. Catalina Fillol also won in three sets, defeating Melinda Kocsis 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 at number-three.

Saint Mary's returns to the courts at Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday, March 26. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
