Volleyball Falls to No. 7 Stanford

Stanford, CA - The Saint Mary's volleyball team dropped a tough match to No. 7 Stanford on Saturday night 3-0 at the Stanford Invitational in Maples Pavilion. The Gaels lost 30-27, 30-23, 30-19.
Saint Mary's was led by Missie Stidham, who had a match-high 16 kills. Christina Kirk once again had a solid match with 13 kills, a .310 hitting percentage and two blocks.
Mandy Bible led the offense with 41 assists, seven digs and three blocks. Taylor Groess added 10 kills and Cassandra Kolkka had 11 digs.
The Gaels make their home debut on Monday, September 18 when they host the University of Montreal in an exhibition match at 7 p.m. at McKeon Pavilion. The match will be free for all in attendance.
