2007-2008: Won Saint Mary's College "Novice of the Year" award...competed primarily with the novice boat...made her Gael debut on 10/28/07 rowing in the novice eight boat at the Head of the American, finishing with a time of 23:38...on 11/10/07 helped the women's freshman eight boat win gold at the Head of the Lagoon, with a time of 22:25...on 3/16/08 rowed in the lightweight four boat at the Sacramento State Invitational, helping the Gaels win gold...on 3/28/08 helped the second varsity eight to an 18 second win over Arizona State in a Duel Race at the Windermere Regatta, finishing with a time of 8:06.8 in windy and choppy conditions...on 4/6/08 helped the second varsity eights win the Petite final at the San Diego Crew Classic by more then 15 seconds, finishing with a time of 7:08.90...on 5/1/08 rowed in the varsity four boat at the WCC Championships, taking fourth place with a time of 8:29.7...on 5/4/08 rowed in the lightweight four boat at the WIRA Championships, helping post the best finish of the weekend, taking third place with a time of 7:58.4.
High School: Transfered to Saint Mary's from Marymount College in Ranchos Palos Verdes...attended James Logan High School in Union City, CA...is majoring in Liberal and Civic Studies with a minor in Spanish...her post graduate plans include becoming an elementary school teacher...has a twin sister named Vicky, parents are Duke and Gina Vermazen.
