Keith Moss joined the Saint Mary's men's basketball coaching staff beginning with the 2008-09 campaign. Following his first season at Saint Mary's, Moss assumed the Director of Basketball Operations position beginning in the summer of 2009.
In his first season as an assistsant coach, Moss coordinated scheduling and summer camps, and assisted with scouting and recruiting, as the coordinator of underclassman recruiting.
Since graduating from Cal State Northridge with a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies in 1993, Moss has spent many years in the basketball arena. Following his playing days with the Matadors, he immediately began his coaching career, with his first assistant coaching position coming at Gavilan College in Gilroy, CA during the 1993-94 season. In the only season with the Rams, he assisted with all aspect of coaching.
Following the one-year stint at Gavilan, he jumped to the Division I ranks where he was an assistant coach at San Jose State from 1994-97. He was a member of the coaching staff that guided the Spartans to the 1996 NCAA Tournament, winning the Big West Conference Tournament to earn an automatic bid into the "Big Dance". The 1996 NCAA Tournament appearance for SJSU was the last post season appearance for the Spartans. While at San Jose State, Moss helped develop Olivier Saint-Jean, now Tariq Abdul-Wahad, to a No. 11 overall draft pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 1997 NBA Draft.
Following three seasons in San Jose, Moss moved back to the junior college ranks, where he was the Associate Head Men's Basketball Coach at Foothill Community College from 1998-2002. He helped guide Foothill to a final eight finish in the California Junior College Basketball Tournament in 2001. During his four years at Foothill, Moss helped send seven players move to the Division I level, which included three players that choose SMC in Samuel Saint-Jean, Frederic Adjiwanou, and Reda Rhalimi.
After a year away from basketball, he returned to the bench as the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Athenian College Preparatory in Danville, CA. Additionally, he was an assistant coach for Player Development with the Dallas Mavericks Summer League in 2006.
Moss currently lives in Roseville, CA with is wife of 16 years Adrianne, and his three children, sons Brandon (15) and Devin (13), and daughter Alyssa (8).
