Sydney returns for her second year as the volunteer assistant coach at Saint Mary's. Chute a 2002 graduate from the University of Oregon, was hired by Rob Browning as an assistant coach in 2005. After time away from the program she has returned to lend her experience.
Prior to coming to Saint Mary's she coached the women's club team at Oregon. Chute has coached the 15 Silver's Webfoot Juniors Webfoot Volleyball Team, North Eugene High School junior varsity team and the men's club volleyball team at Oregon.
Before she joined the coaching ranks, Chute was the setter for the Ducks from 1999-2002 and was a Fab-50 recruit out of high school in Santa Rosa, CA.
