SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference announced its 2014 slate of volleyball broadcasts Thursday and with the unveiling came the news that the Oct. 8 match between Saint Mary's and San Diego in Moraga will be televised live on ESPNU.
The match, which was previously scheduled for Oct. 7, will begin at 8 p.m. at McKeon Pavilion and will also be streamed live via WatchESPN.com and the WatchESPN app. It comes as part of a record year for the WCC when it comes to live broadcasting, with 88 matches involving conference schools set to be broadcast live by either TheW.tv, BYUTV or the ESPN family of networks.
For the first time, every SMC home volleyball match will be streamed free this season and will appear on both SMCGaels.com and TheW.tv. Head coach Rob Browning and the Gaels will feature a squad that includes an interesting mix of experience and youth with six seniors, six freshmen, one sophomore and one junior.
