
MBK | Waldow Signs Professional Contract With Belgian Team

MORAGA, Calif. -- Former Saint Mary's men's basketball forward Brad Waldow has signed a professional contact to play for Port of Antwerp Giants in the Belgium Basketball League.
A native of Shingle Springs, Waldow concluded his career at Saint Mary's last spring as one of the top players in program history. He finished among the top 10 on the school's career lists in several categories: Scoring (4th, 1,743); rebounding (4th, 900); games played (2nd, 134); games started (2nd, 123); blocked shots (4th, 133); field goals (3rd, 683); field goal attempts (6th, 1,162); field goal percentage (4th, .588); free throws (8th, 373) and free throw attempts (2nd, 632).
Waldow led the Gaels in field goal percentage and blocked shots in each of his four seasons and was twice honored as an all-West Coast Conference and NABC all-district selection. He finished his career ranked 22nd among all-time WCC players in scoring, just 16 rebounds away from the top-20 and .002 of a percentage point from the top-10 in field goal percentage.
Antwerp is one of 11 teams in the Belgian League and was founded in 2005. BC Oostende has won the last four league titles.
