PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Saint Mary's moved up one spot on the leaderboard, as the Gaels shot a 4-under 280 to move to 3-under par heading into the final round of the Saint Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Course.
THE LEADERBOARD
USC jumped out to a single stroke lead after 36 holes, as the Trojans shot an impressive 16-under 268. USC enters tomorrow's final round at 13-under par, while fellow Pac-12 competitor Stanford sits in second place at 12-under par. The Cardinal recorded an 11-under 273 on Friday.
The Gaels (-3), San Francisco (E) and Colorado State (+1) round out the top-5 of the leaderboard.
SMC will be paired with USF in the final round, as the first wave of Gaels is set to tee off at 9:02 a.m. off the 10th tee.

SECOND ROUND HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior Connor Blick is tied-4th after rounds of 68-70 (-4).
- Blick ended the round with four consecutive birdies (holes 6, 7, 8 and 9).
- Freshman Ash Hakim shot a 3-under 68 and is tied-4th on the leaderboard at 4-under par.
- Hakim carded five birdies with three coming on the front nine.
- Pavan Sagoo is tied-26th at 1-over par after rounds of 71-72.
- Max Ferrari fired off a 3-under 68 and is tied-5th on the leaderboard at 3-under par.
- Also playing as an individual, Brandon Jacobs shot a 1-over 72 to be tied-20th at even-par.
- Playing in the same group, Perry Cohen and Blake Hathcoat both carded an even-par 71.
- Kaito Onishi shot the low round of the tournament with an 8-under 63.
UP NEXT: FINAL ROUND - The final round will begin at 7:30 a.m. (10th tee) and 7:35 a.m. (1st tee).
