MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's is deep in the heart of conference play and will be taking on Santa Clara on Sunday at 1 p.m. from Steven's Stadium.

The Gaels are coming off a couple tough road losses in the Pacific Northwest against WCC opponents Portland and Gonzaga last week. Saint Mary's currently holds a 1-2-1 record within conference play and look to improve that record against the Broncos on Sunday.

The current goal leader for the Gaels is Jordyn Cunningham, who has a total of four at this point in the season, with three of them being game-winners. Teammates Anyssa Dominguez and Jaylen Crim are close behind and each are tied with two a piece.

Saint Mary's is currently halfway through conference play and only have five games left in the season. The remainder of the matches will be played against conference opponents as the season winds down.

ABOUT SANTA CLARA
The Santa Clara Broncos will be entering Sunday's match with a record of 11-2-1 and a conference record of 2-1. Santa Clara is coming of a 1-0 loss to Pepperdine, but previous to that loss they had maintained a four-game win streak against LMU, USF, UCSB, and Cal Poly.

The Broncos are undefeated at home so far this year at 7-0, and will be returning on Sunday after four matches on the road.

Stat leaders for Santa Clara include Maddy Gonzalez who has seven goals and Maria Sanchez who has eight assists. Goalkeeper Melissa Lowder has recorded a total of five shutouts this season.
