WSOC | Gaels Look to End Skid on Sunday Versus Tigers

Saint Mary's will seek their second conference win this season and end their five-game losing streak on the road at Pacific.

MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's returns to play this Sunday at Pacific as the Gaels (6-9-2, 1-5-1 WCC) will look to snap a five-game skid and earn their second conference win of the year.

Kick off for the match against the Tigers is scheduled for 1 p.m. Links to live stats and the live stream can be found on the Gaels' schedule page.

After hitting a rough patch in recent weeks, Saint Mary's hopes to right the ship this weekend and finish the season on high-note with two matches remaining. The Gaels played well in non-conference action early in the year and began WCC play with four points (1-0-1), including a 1-0 win over defending-WCC champ Pepperdine, but have faltered of late. During their five-game slump, the Gaels have tallied two goals but allowed 14.

Saint Mary's will look to their offensive leaders to help them return to their scoring ways, namely Jordyn Cunningham and Jaylen Crim. Cunningham has a season- and team-best four goals and 10 points this season while Crim owns two goals and has five assists for nine points.

Also chipping in the offensive half are senior Anyssa Dominguez, who leads the team in shots and is second in assists with three, and defender Kelsey Hill who has two goals.

ABOUT PACIFIC
The Tigers have struggled mightily this season and are last in the conference with a 2-14, 0-7 WCC record. Pacific is currently in the midst of an 11-game losing streak and have not won a match in nearly two months (August 31 vs. Sac State).

Forward Kendall Bietsch has paced the Tigers' offense this season with five goals this season while Sigrid Aas is second on the team with two scores. Goalkeeper Regan Heslop has started every match for her team and leads the conference in saves with 95, nearly six per match.

Pacific's roster features six seniors who will be playing their final match at Knoles Field as of the team's Senior Day. Bietsch and Heslop are two of the seniors who will be recognized.

Saint Mary's is 8-6 all-time versus the Tigers, including a 1-0 win in Moraga last season. The two teams first played in 1994 and the Gaels won the first six of seven meetings between the teams.
