MORAGA, Calif. – Sarah Chase was named the Muscle Milk Student Athlete of the Week after propelling her team to a win in the Gaels' regular-season finale against Santa Clara.
 
Chase had a big night against the Broncos, amassing 15 kills and 15 digs along with a season-high, five service aces. Her strong effort followed a pair of impressive outings in SMC's two previous matches against No. 1 BYU and San Diego. She had a 16 kill (season-high), 13 dig, and four block performance against the Cougars and she posted another double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs against the Toreros. Chase has now collected a double-double in five of her last six matches (four in-a-row) and has seen double-digit kills in 10 of her last 12 contests.
