WSOC | Dominguez Named to WCC All-Academic Team

Anyssa Dominguez was selected to the conference's All-Academic Team while six other Gaels earned honorable mentions.

SAN BRUNO, Calif. — The West Coast Conference announced their women's soccer All-Academic Team this week and Anyssa Dominguez was selected to the prestigious list featuring 11 of the conference's brightest student-athletes.

The senior Dominguez boasts an impressive 3.61 grade point average while pursuing a degree in biology. Not only was she a leader in the classroom, Dominguez was also one of the Gaels' top performers last season as she was third on the team in points and tied for first in assists. The midfielder earned an honorable mention nod last season as well for her academics.

In addition to Dominguez, six other Gaels were named academic honorable mentions: Malia Allison, Jaylen Crim, Jordyn Cunningham, Kelsey Hill, Maleah Milner, and Anna Parker. Among that list, Crim and Hill had also earned All-WCC honorable mentions earlier this offseason for their terrific work on the field.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while also being a significant contributor to her team.
