BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Saint Mary's will travel to the central valley on Friday for a match against the CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners at 7 p.m. and then head up north on Sunday to play the Sacramento State Hornets at 1 p.m.

The Gaels have a current record of 4-3 this season as Jordyn Cunningham leads the team with three goals and Jaylen Crim leads with 13 shots. SMC has won four out of their last five games and have not allowed a goal in their last 180 minutes of play.
In their last win, Maleah Milner tallied her second shutout in a row against Fresno State and was later named Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week. The sophomore goalie has started in all seven matches for Saint Mary's and has recorded 32 saves this season.
ABOUT CSU BAKERSFIELD
The Roadrunners are currently 1-5 this season with their lone win coming against Southern Utah. Following their game against the Gaels, they will be hosting CSUN.
So far, Aryana Harvey has carried the offense with her team-leading two goals this season while both Sabrina Delgado and Sophie Freeman lead the team with ten shots a piece. Last season, CSU Bakersfield went 6-12-1 overall and 1-5-1 in Big West Conference play.
Saint Mary's and CSU Bakersfield have met six times overall and the Gaels hold a 1-3-2 all-time record over the Roadrunners. The last meeting of the two teams was in 2017 where SMC fell short in overtime with a final score of 2-1.
ABOUT SACRAMENTO STATE
Sacramento State will head into Sunday's match with a 1-5-1 record so far this season. The Hornets are coming off a 2-1 loss against CSUN as they only took nine shots during the game and allowed 19 from the Matadors.
Forward Kylee-Kim Bustillos currently has four assists and six points this season to lead the team's offense and Christina Lazar leads with two goals in five games. The Hornets are averaging 9.3 shots per game while Skylar Littlefield leads the team in shots with 10 shots. Freshman goalie Ailey Collins has notched 18 saves in four appearances.
The Gaels and the Hornets last played each other in 2017 where Sac State earned a 2-1 win over SMC. Saint Mary's holds the all time record between the two teams of 9-3-0 after meeting twelve times in program history.
