Madness in McKeon Takes Place on November 1st

MORAGA, Calif. — Gael Force is gearing up to host the 2019 Madness in McKeon. Madness in McKeon, is the annual SMC student rally to celebrate the beginning of basketball season. It will be held on Friday, Nov. 1st at 8:00 p.m and is a free event for all Saint Mary's students.
Madness in Mckeon features a night of entertainment, prizes, engaging videos and on-court contests all leading up to the introduction of the 2019-20 Saint Mary's men's and women's basketball teams. Saint Mary's students have the chance to win grand prizes, such as Apple Airpods, 40" Samsung Smart TV, and a Hover Electric Scooter. Gael Force will also be raffling off Vintage SMC Basketball Jerseys, Under Armour Shoes, Signed SMC Basketballs and more. Gael Force encourages students to wear their 2019-20 Gael Force shirt (if you have not received your shirt, you can pick it up at the event).
The festivities begin at 7 p.m. in front of McKeon Pavilion, where students can enjoy a tailgate party. There will be activities, music and food, as well as a beer garden for those students that are over the age of 21. Doors to McKeon will open at 7:30p.m., and the annual Madness in McKeon wil begin at approximately 8:00 p.m.
The first home basketball game will be on Nov. 8th as the women take on UC Santa Barbara at 6:30 p.m. Men's basketball hosts their home opener when they take on Winthrop on Monday, Nov. 11th at 6:00 p.m.
