ABOUT PACIFIC
The Tigers currently sit in ninth place in the West Coast Conference standings at 3-9 and hold a 13-14 overall record. Last week, Pacific only had one matchup as they faced off against Santa Clara in a hard-fought contest, but ultimately fell short 64-59 to the Broncos.

Senior guard Roberto Gallinat leads the Tigers at 14.8 points per game and is averaging 15 in conference play. Gallinat continues to lead the Tigers' efforts as he has collected 46 three-pointers averaging 37 percent of his 122 tries from deep. The guard also leads the conference in free throws as he has made 150 of his 172 attempts.

As a team, Pacific ranks second in the WCC for both defensive rebound percentage (77) and free throw percentage (75.5). Junior guard Jahlil Tripp has totaled 160 rebounds thus far, which is good for first in the Tigers' lineup.

Thursday's contest will be the 120th meeting between the two schools. Saint Mary's has won the last eleven matchups against the Tigers dating back to 2012.

ABOUT SAN DIEGO
The Toreros are 16-11 this season and sit in sixth place in the WCC with a 5-7 conference record. San Diego is just one game back of a fifth-place tie with Santa Clara who is 6-7. In their last two matchups, USD dropped both contests as they fell 88-82 to BYU and 79-67 against No. 3 Gonzaga.

Senior forward Isaiah Pineiro is second in the conference and leads the Toreros in average rebounds per game with nine. Pineiro is the leading scorer for Pacific 19.3 points per game while other two Toreros, Olin Carter III (16.1) and Isaiah Wright (12.9), are also averaging double-digits.

San Diego ranks fifth in multiple categories within the conference including field goal percentage (46.9), blocked shots per game (3.1), and rebounding offense per game (34). Forward Yauhen Massalski is ranked second in the conference for field goal percentage with 64.8.

Saint Mary's has dominated the Gaels-Toreros rivalry in recent years as they have won the last 13 of 14 matchups. The Toreros will look to host Portland two days before facing off against the Gaels.
