Ford Earns Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

For the second time this season, Jordan Ford has been named the MMSAOTW.
MORAGA, Calif. — Saint Mary's men's basketball guard Jordan Ford has been named the Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the period of Feb. 18-24 after helping the Gaels' pick up two big wins on the road.
Ford helped Saint Mary's take down Pacific and San Diego away from McKeon Pavilion with excellent play on both ends of the court. The junior averaged 24.5 points while shooting 56 percent from the field, including 6-of-9 from distance. Ford also averaged 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 steals in the wins.
In both contests, SMC's defense held their opposition to under 30 percent shooting and Ford provided strong defense while playing 75 of the possible 80 points. Pacific's guard Khy Kabellis scored only four points with Ford primarily guarding him while San Diego's Olin Carter III did not score until 10 minutes were remaining in the game.
Ford was also named WCC Player of the Week by CollegeSportsMadness.com for his efforts.
The Gaels round out their regular season schedule this week with home contests against Portland and Gonzaga. More information and links to the games can be found on the team's schedule page.
