BEREKELY, Calif. – Cal broke out the bats in game two, ultimately evening the series score at 1-1 as the four-game set shifts back to Moraga for the final two games.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Cal got on the board first in the bottom of the first thanks to a 2-run homerun from Andrew Vaughn.

- However, the Bears put together their biggest inning of the game in the bottom of the fourth, collecting eight runs off of seven hits which included a pair of 2-run homeruns from Cal's Brandon Mcllwain and Cameron Eden.

- Saint Mary's responded in the top of the fifth with a run of their own to make it 10-1. Austin Chauvin go the rally going with a single through the right side which was followed by senior Conor Thane's base hit to left field. With two outs and runners on first and second, sophomore Gio Diaz delivered a single up the middle which scored Chauvin from second.

- The Bears tacked on three more in their half of the fifth coming from another Vaughn homer and an RBI from Grant Holman. Entering the sixth, SMC trailed 13-1.

- Saint Mary's put runners on base in each of the next three innings, but unable to push anymore runs across, the Gaels fell 13-1.
